Information from kao.co.jp/biore:
Bioré Cleansing Oil effectively dissolves and removes stubborn makeup, including waterproof mascara, while lifting away dirt and impurities. Unlike other cleansing oils, it leaves no greasy film on your face and maintains the skin's natural moisture balance. It does not emulsify upon contact with water, thus maintaining its optimal cleansing performance at all times. JustBACKGROUND
apply with dry or wet hands and rinse off with water for that clean and fresh feeling!
Ingredients: Mineral oil, lauric acid PEG-12, isododecane, water, isopropyl palmitate, cyclomethicone, polyglyceryl-2 isostearate, decyl glucoside, polysorbate 85, glyceryl oleic acid, isostearic acid, isostearyl glyceryl, isostearyl glyceryl pentaerythrityl, myristyl alcohol, ethanol, citric acid, phosphoric acid, BHT, perfume, tocopherol.
The first time that I learned about double cleansing was just last year. I didn't know that it was a thing since I've been doing it years before that, only I don't use an oil-based cleanser first. Last January, being very curious as to what the hype was all about, I purchased my very first cleansing cream on Lazada which is the Herb Day Cleansing Cream (Aloe) from THEFACESHOP. I was so excited to use it since I would finally be able to try double cleansing. I used it for three consecutive nights to remove my makeup and it managed to do so, the only down side was that it slightly broke me out. After the third night, I woke up with tiny red spots around my nose and mouth. Although I'm still not sure if it was the culprit or the toner that I used along with it, I will not use it again for the time being.
So having that as a background, you can say that I definitely stayed away from cleansing creams/oils/balms and ignored every ad that I saw of them. But if you do your make up, or in my case, put a BB cream and concealer, everyday, you will know that the most tiresome part will always be removing it before going to bed. I've been doing the same cleansing routine for years now that I just want to find a way to make it faster (or make my sleep longer).
I admit, I've been seeing Bioré advertisements for quite some time and I just didn't buy any of their products because I always thought they weren't really a good brand (I WAS WRONG). What I mean is, usually I go for brands that I see people around me use and say are effective, and a little online research helps too. What convinced me to buy their oil cleanser is partly because of the good reviews online, but mainly because I just wanted to sleep longer. Kidding! It's because I saw that there wasn't a complaint on this product that "it causes breakouts" and was mild enough for sensitive skin, so that was enough for me.
The first thing that I LOVED about this product is its packaging! As simple as a pump dispenser but with an added plastic cover that fits right at the top where it covers the opening of the dispenser when not in use. It's been a habit of mine that whenever I use products in pump dispensers, I would dispense a small amount first to remove the dust and dirt that may have collected along the mouth of the dispenser, then dispense an amount that I would then use. Since this cleansing oil already has a cap, I don't need to do that anymore. Yey! As for the oil itself, I also LOVE it! The scent, the way it easily removes my make up, and most especially, the fact that it has not caused me to break out. Although I don't use eye and brow products, I did use this on heavy make up and removed it easily too. Too much love for this product! I can't emphasize enough how much I love the scent of this. Please just buy it and smell it for yourself to know what I'm saying here. Or just borrow from a friend. Immediately.
If I really have to say one thing about it that leaves me unsatisfied, it'll probably be the size of the product. I would gladly pay for a much larger Bioré cleansing oil if there were any available. But then again, the size won't bother you anymore once you have smelled it. ;)
Obviously, YES! This product easily became a staple in my night time cleansing routine because of its effectiveness and hygienic packaging, so I won't be surprised if you'll love it too. :)
